TOUCH ME - Each piece is like a child to me.  Like children they are all unique and are all special in their own way.  I try to create pieces that make you want to reach out and touch it, caress it, run the back of your hand across it and feel it touching you back.  If it doesn't move you, I failed at my job.

I want to make a piece that becomes a member of your household.  Maybe not so perfect, a scar here or there, but there should be no doubt it's part of your household.  You should be able to see it everyday, use it everyday, even take it for granted, but when you really look at it, you realize how special it is.

The last few years has been dedicated to creating usable and appreciated pieces.  I started making simple pieces from materials found in local lumber yards and home improvement outlets.   But my real love was the discovery of the never ending supply of used, rejected or otherwise unwanted materials and furniture.

I started making pieces from timbers discarded from 100 year old homes.  I even made a table from wood removed from the Pearl Gallery in Baltimore Maryland.  Older wood has natural character and more importantly, history. Some of the wood used was orginally milled over a hundred years ago or hasn't seen sunlight for 80!!!  Think about the hands that milled that wood, think about the family's that have been around that wood, and all the living and dying that piece of wood has witnessed.
