Nine Feet of pure 'Sailing Pleasure' for a young man's imagination. Below is a project which was quite a challenge, a 'Boat Shaped' bed for a youngsters room and matching 'Stowaway' bookcase. Bed is designed to hold a twin size mattress, no boxspring needed. Constructed of 1/4 inch, 3/4 inch and solid woods. Because of it's length (110 inches) and it's width (48 inches), this bed has to go into a bedroom at the top of the stairs 'cause it ain't gonna make any tight turns'. Extremely bulky and heavy, this boat never made it out of the studio till it was picked up and delivered. Matching bookcase is 16 inches deep by 6 feet tall and 34 inches wide with 2 doors opening up to a work area, plenty of room for books, toys, and even a small TV. both pieces finished with an antique white paint, and clear shellac with a dab of orange.
